Dr Kusum D'sa is an educator, counselor, writer, translator, an avid gardener and a staunch environmentalist. She founded The Cambridge International School in Mangalore. Subsequently, she worked at the VIBGYOR group of schools. 

Dr. D'sa conceptualized, developed and conducted Adolescence sensitization program and career development programs. She has created 3 levels of soft skill & employment skill module course, St. Aloysius College, Mangalore. She was in charge of counseling, educating and rehabilitation of the prison inmates of Mangalore since 2017. She is a certified counselor and has been counseling caregivers of mentally ill patients, volunteering in suicide helpline, child helpline, and elderly helpline. She is also a career counsellor.
